Step one

Sign and submit by October 16

One form does it all. You'll review the agreement, fill in your artwork details (Exhibit A), upload your images and bio, and sign. You and DEW both get a signed copy by email automatically.

  • High-resolution photo of your artwork (straight-on, good light)
  • Artwork details: title, year, medium, framed size, weight, edition
  • Retail price (or mark it NFS) and declared value
  • Purchase link or contact for your wall-label QR code

  • Artist statement for this piece (optional, about 50 words)

  • Website and social handles so we can tag you

Arrival window

Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 30. Time your shipment so it doesn't arrive before October 12, and sign your agreement before you send anything.

Local? Drop it off.

Hand delivery is by appointment. Reply to your invitation email to book a time.

You cover transit

Shipping, packaging and insurance in transit are on you, both ways. Use packaging we can reuse for the return.

Ready-to-hang checklist

  • D-rings and taut picture wire installed. Sawtooth hangers aren't accepted.
  • Glazing (glass or acrylic) on works on paper, photographs and textiles
  • Back of the piece labeled with your name, the title and your phone or email
  • Pedestal or special display? Tell us before you ship. You provide it.

Where your work will hang

Common areas only: the waiting area and the hallway. Art is never placed at wash, head spa, styling or dryer stations. DEW is a working salon and head spa, so the building sees ordinary indoor humidity and foot traffic. That's why we ask for glazing on paper-based work.

Sales

How buying works

  1. A visitor scans the QR code on your wall label and goes straight to your purchase link.
  2. They pay you directly. DEW never handles the money and takes nothing.
  3. Text or email us within 48 hours of any sale, including sales outside the gallery.
  4. Once you confirm you've been paid in full, we mark the piece SOLD.
  5. The piece stays up until February 14. Let your buyer know before they commit.

Questions

FAQ

Is there really no fee or commission?

None. DEW charges no exhibition fee and takes no commission. The full sale price is yours.

Can I submit more than one piece?

Each artist exhibits one piece in Exhibition 001.

Is my artwork insured?

Work is displayed at your own risk, except where DEW is negligent. DEW doesn't insure artwork, so we recommend your own fine-art coverage, and you're responsible for insurance in transit.

Can I sell the piece somewhere else during the show?

Yes. Let us know within 48 hours so we can update the label, and keep the price consistent with what's on our wall.

Who handles sales tax?

You do, since you're the seller. Check with a tax advisor if you're unsure what applies to you.

Do I have to attend Opening Night?

It's encouraged but not required. Travel and lodging are your own.

I'm shipping from outside the US. Anything extra?

You handle customs paperwork, duties and brokerage, both ways. DEW won't act as importer of record unless we agree in writing first.

What do I get from DEW?

Professional installation, a wall label with your purchase QR code, promotion across DEW's channels with credit to you, and installation and Opening Night photos for your own portfolio.

What does DEW ask in return?

Share the show with your audience. Post about the exhibition and Opening Night and tag DEW Gallery. We'll send you images and details to make it easy.

Can the exhibition end early?

DEW may end the show early with 14 days' written notice. If that happens, you'll collect your piece the same way as at the normal close.
